Lindy Adapter Toslink to Mini-Optical 3.5mm jack
Jack adapter
Does the following work? I plug a Toslink cable into the Playstation4 output, connect the cable to my normal PC speakers (just two boxes, no subwoofer or anything) with a normal audio connection (i.e. a light green connection), then plug this adapter (Lindy Adapter Toslink to Mini-Optical 3.5mm jack) into the normal Toslink cable and poof, I can plug this into the PC speakers and I have the sound from the Playstation4 on my speakers and have normal good sound? Is it that simple? That would be great.
No, it does not work that simply. With a Toslink-Mini-Tosslink adapter, the metal contacts have no function. It is not a functioning 3.5 mm jack, but the tip of the jack has been "cut off" to allow the fibre optic cable to pass through. For this application you need a digital-to-analogue converter. Unfortunately I can't find anything suitable at Digitec. The only thing I found quickly was this: https://www.internetstore.ch/DIGITUS-Au...
Ok thanks! I see one part costs 17 and the other 67? Why the difference? Is that enough for me for 17.-?
