Does the display dim automatically or switch off completely after a while? Can you set the clock, for example, to always light up?

Thank you for the question.
The dimming level can be set to 3 levels (high, medium, low) and OFF.
Personally, I would have liked a finer gradation here (e.g. 0-10).
With the same levels, you can choose how bright the display lights up when you activate it.
The time for which the display lights up after activation can be set from 10s to 180s, whereby up to 60s the gradation is every 10s, then every 30s to 180s.
YES, the display can be switched off completely.
YES, the setting that the display is always lit can be selected.
