Question about Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor

Does anyone know why a MAC with Thunderbolt cannot be connected via the UltraStudio Mini Monitor to a television via the HDMI connection, or why it does not respond? Have I overlooked something in the installation? The installation programme "Desktop Video Setup" shows the device... but the TV remains black. I wanted to use a 3rd screen for DaVinci Resolve.

It is not uncommon for monitors to bitch a bit with the Ultrastudio (or any other BM device). A few reasons could be: You have not selected the TV as an output device in Resolve, you have set a frame rate that your TV does not support or the HDMI cable is no good.

in this constellation, the monitor can only be used as a playout monitor, and not as an additional computer monitor. works great with premiere, avid etc. somewhere at blackmagic there is a compatibility list, which software is supported.
