Hi Devid, it is not absolutely necessary if there are no compatibility or stability problems. My problem was that no network driver was found (BIOS update did nothing). I had to install the driver during the Windows installation. Maybe the problem would not have happened with a more recent Windows 11 version.
I have not performed a Bios update. I installed Windows 11 Pro. There were no problems at all. When installing Windows 11 Pro, you do not need a network driver or network connection during the installation, you can bypass the step during the network request by "clicking on skip step". With the Windows 11 Home version, however, a network connection is required, otherwise Windows cannot be installed. After installing Windows 11 Pro, I installed the normal mainboard drivers. I did not carry out a bios update at any time and it was not necessary.
