Sorry to disappoint you. Just tested it by making a phone call. No sound was heard.
It works perfectly with the Samsung A45
Works without any problems on Xiaomi 9T Pro with no extra drivers.
I use the adapter for my mobile - works perfectly with sound and microphone on the headphones.
