The external hard drive with USB-C interface is compatible with iPads equipped with a USB-C port and iPadOS 16 or later operating system. To function properly, the drive must be formatted in a supported file system such as exFAT. Compatible iPad models include iPad Pro 3rd generation and later, iPad Air 4th generation and later, iPad mini 6th generation and later, and iPad 10th generation. A USB-C to USB-C cable must be used for direct connection. Some iPad models with USB-C use USB 2.0 and do not support Thunderbolt devices, but the drive will still work with standard USB-C iPads.
