Can/may the Wilfa Probaker also be laid down for storage? Or is something impractical? Thank you very much!

Whether the Wilfa Probaker can be laid down (I assume on its side) can only be answered by the manufacturer. In my opinion, the machine should not be damaged, as it is very robustly built. As the bowl protrudes to the side, it may be more practical to remove it before placing it on its side.
Incidentally, I can highly recommend the Wilfa for kneading dough.
