Can you lay with those earphones in bed with your head on the side without too much pressure and pain? Most of those earphones are not really good to lay on the side...

absolutely not, unless you have a special cushion with a hole in it.

I often do lay on the side with the WF-1000XM4 and they do offer more confort than the WF-1000XM3 due to their reduced size. I can easily sleep in laying on the side with the WF-1000XM4 in my ears.
