Can the scroll wheel also be used as 2 additional buttons by pressing left/right? Analogous to MX 620?

No, it has enough freely configurable buttons on the left side for that. The scroll wheel only has scroll + 1 click. The main focus of this mouse is the combination of high DPI numbers with low power consumption.
