Can the display be switched off completely (at night) and only activated at the touch of a button? I can't quite figure it out from the operating instructions.

Nothing works on the device I bought: the DAB station list only shows stations in Bavaria and Austria (I am in Switzerland), but they cannot be received. Nothing comes in on FM either. And no, I can't dim the display. In any case, I can't find anything on the unit that would allow me to do that.
I will send the unit to Philips.
No problems with a Yahama unit. However, not alarm clock radio.
