Can the battery be used as a simple charger? I.e. it is connected to the mains and can therefore be used even if it is empty?

It works on my Mac, but the battery wasn't completely empty. Its only problem is that it is heavy.

I quickly tested it with a phone (c-type charger) and my surface book and it works. It's also worth noting that the battery charger is a c-tip that can directly charge a device.
