Can only use the loudspeaker? e.g. while playing a video without Skype or other video conferencing software.

OK, I have just tested it at home, it works perfectly, you have to click on the speaker icon on the PC and select the camera as speaker, that's all.

I don't understand the question, if the PC or laptop has no speakers then yes.
