Can I use this docking station to boot my Asus Aspire V 15 Nitro VN7-572G-70MM notebook Windows 10 with the lid closed? Want to connect monitor and keyboard etc....

I never have my Sony Vaio Duo 13 open because I can switch it on from the side and not from the top. There are notebooks that go into energy-saving mode when the lid is closed, whether you can turn this off is beyond me.
