Can I use the Sundaras with an Elagato Wave XLR (Galaxus article no. 16264210)? Is the power sufficient for this headphone? They are "only" 32 ohms. Thanks for the answers

The Hifiman Sundara headphones with an impedance of 32 ohms can theoretically be used with the Elgato Wave XLR, but there are a few points to bear in mind:

## Compatibility
- The Elgato Wave XLR has an output impedance of 16 ohms for the headphone amplifier, which would be optimal for headphones with an impedance of over 128 ohms. With 32 Ohm headphones such as the Sundaras, there could be less attenuation and possibly a slightly different sound characteristic.

## Performance
- Although the Sundaras have a relatively low impedance, the power of the Wave XLR is sufficient to drive them. However, it may be necessary to turn up the volume slightly to achieve the same volume as with other sources.

## Sound quality
- The sound quality could be affected as the Wave XLR is primarily designed as an XLR input interface and not as a dedicated headphone amplifier or DAC. However, it could still offer an improvement over using the motherboard sound cards.

To summarise: It is technically possible to drive the Hifiman Sundara with the Elgato Wave XLR, but optimal performance and sound quality could be compromised by the impedance differences.
