Can I use Spotify directly with it or does it only work via mobile phone with Spotify Connect?

It only makes sense via mobile phone and only with a paid Spotify subscription.
I mean, it didn't work with my spontaneously opened free Spotify account,
but only with my daughter's.

The unit has Wi-Fi and can access Spotify directly via Spotify Connect.
