Question about HP 477dw PageWide Pro

Can anyone tell me whether this device is also worthwhile for a household that does not print daily? With my previous printer, it was always the case that if I didn't use it for long, the ink dried up and the print showed errors (it is also an HP printer). I am basically convinced of HP printers but I need a device that doesn't "dry up" when I don't need it. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

I have the 576dw and it is top. Now the 477 in case the other one goes out. If you don't print much then the software starts to run out of time and you think it's empty.... so run it and print every now and then... the cartridges should last about 1 year bk big cartridge or 3/4 year the smaller ones... in any case ser 576 was fast. I hope the 477 will be too... for the smallest users and for private use I think it's great. Costs less in the long run...

I often have the same problem with the automatic wake-up. When the ink is empty, it doesn't go back into standby... Disaster. But nothing will dry up. The printer is very diligent in flushing. (This is probably why it switches on automatically.) Unfortunately, the ink runs out after about a year of infrequent printing. I noticed this in comparison with a customer who prints a lot regularly. He has printed over 2500 pages with the setup inks within about three quarters of a year. I only printed about 500 pages in a little over a year. The rest is up to you 🙈

Since I've only had it a few months, I can only say that I haven't had any problems yet, despite holidays. The important thing is to always shut it down and not just switch it off because it closes the tanks. As I have seen from various sources, drying out should no longer be a problem with today's printers as it was in the past.
As I watch the cartridges, I find they run out a bit quickly (I bought the big ones).
The printer is great, runs well and without problems so far.

We have been using the printer for just under 2 years, with longer interruptions (e.g. 6 weeks due to holidays). We print less frequently. In general, I haven't noticed any major loss due to drying out. The only problem that all HP PageWide 477 models have is that they switch on automatically every 10-11 days. Really a total NOGO! HP apparently knows this, but doesn't care. I got it under control with an interruption of the power supply. Otherwise, the printer is absolutely top-notch and fast.
