Can a paper tray HP CF404A 500 sheets (accessory) be controlled separately (tray 3) or does it only serve as a sheet reservoir of tray 2?

As far as I know, the additional paper tray is only for the 477 but not for the 377. If it still fits, the tray can be controlled separately on almost all HP printers.
