Bought this after the exact same item (a few years old) got damaged. The new switch doesn't work with the exact same computers/settings; it's OK while booting but no video output after. What gives?

Further investigating it appears that the switch only works up to 1024x768...

I had some difficulties with the switch a while ago and was ready to throw it away. A firmware update has fixed it. Give it a go.

The KVM switch runs almost without any problems, but if one PC is switched via a power strip and is not supplied with power, I cannot operate the other PC. Both PCs must always be supplied with power.
