Attention, a Youtuber shows that already sold DJI Mini 5 drones are heavier than 250g and therefore an A1/A3 certificate (BAZL) would be required for operation! How is it possible that the drone is advertised as <250g and C0 certified and sold as such by Galaxus?

Helpful answer
As soon as a drone is operated in europe and has a camera, an a1/a3 licence is required
Every drone since about 2023~ must have a certification and be sold in europe
The DJI Mini 5 Pro has a c0 certification even if it is 2-3g over it so you can fly it legally without insurance
But as soon as a drone weighs over 250g or has a C1 certification, you must have a driving licence and liability insurance that covers at least 1 million

In the meantime, EASA has confirmed the C0 conformity and although the Mini 5 Pro weighs slightly over 250g, it flies in Open A1 under 250g. Galaxus has absolutely nothing to do with this certification. EASA has delegated this to TÜV Rheinland.
