Question about StarTech HDMI Audio Extractor

There are some (e.g. Feintech VMS14201), but as always - especially in the case of Switch/Spilt/Extract - it's complicated. This one masters HDMI 2.1 and can send extracted audio to a receiver via RCA or digital optical. But you should definitely read/study the questions/answers/reviews of the devices.

But if only one of the two possible video outputs (monitor/TV/projector) is not compatible with HDMI 2.1, everything reverts to HDMI 2.0 or less. What apparently isn't possible is audio output via eARC to a soundbar. HDFury's devices are the best for this, but they don't yet support 4K120Hz, as far as I know. As I said, it's complicated.
