Are the Jaybird X3s in sync with a video or movie on an iPhone?

Yes, they are! It often depends on the app whether everything is in sync. With GarageBand, for example, all Bluetooth headphones are basically out of sync with the buttons. But I had no problem with the Jaybird when it came to films and games.
