Are the "Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000, DIMM 288W" compatible with the board or does the DDR4 number have to be exactly the same (DDR4-3866 on the board)?

No, that should not matter. The '3866' only stands for the maximum RAM clockspeed supported by the mainboard and since the RAM you selected 'only' brings 3000 MHz, everything should work as far as I know.
