The memory locations for radio stations are not lost as long as the device remains switched on or has a stable power supply. There is no internal battery or capacitor to retain the station memory when the device is switched off. Stations are stored in the device itself and the data is retained as long as the device is not reset to factory settings or a software update is carried out that affects the storage.
