The WLAN must support 2.4 GHz, not only 5 GHz. Furthermore, the instructions are so badly translated that it is better not to follow them.
First connect the phone or tablet you are using to set up the MI rice cooker to the Wi-Fi. If this is not displayed, press the reset button on the back of the rice cooker with a pin for 5 seconds.
When the phone is connected to the MI, enter the SSID and password of your Wi-Fi in the MI app and press Connect.
After a short time, the rice cooker should be connected to the Wi-Fi network.
