According to Google, this lens should be compatible with a Canon EOS RP. Can anyone verify this for me? And if not, which lens would it need to be compatible? Or does this need a special adapter (mount) to be compatible, if so which one?

The Canon R-series is only compatible with RF lenses. For all other bayonet types you need an adapter.
