A general question: If I wanted to power the entire outdoor Christmas lighting with such a solar power generator, would that work?
Hello Anonymous, the Jackery Explorer is not a solar power generator, but a battery. To generate solar power, you need a solar panel as an accessory. I assume that you only switch on your Christmas lights when it's dark, i.e. then the panel will certainly no longer supply electricity and you will be entirely dependent on the charging capacity of the Jackery. That's 240Wh, so you can use 240W for one hour, 120W for two hours and so on. You have to add up the wattage of your Christmas lights, and then divide 240 by this number, which gives the number of hours the lights will burn. Example 1: Total consumption=60W --> 4h lighting. Example 2 Total consumption = 300 W --> 240/300 =0.8h = 48 min lighting.
Hello Anonymous... it depends on how much Wh/current your Christmas lighting needs ;-) and it should be able to be connected to a 220V socket. I use this Jackery to occasionally charge my 2 batteries of my two Harleys in the underground garage (where I don't have a socket) in winter - I usually leave it on over the weekend and it works fine. Whether this jackery is enough for a whole night for your Christmas lights, I can't judge. Greetings D.R.
