There are several points to mention: The true 3-phase sinusoidal drive of the pump contributes to the extreme smoothness of this pump. The impeller is suspended on a ceramic axle with two magnets. The ceramic axle is manufactured with high precision and the impeller is cleanly balanced. All these details contribute to the Alphacool DC-LT 2 2600rpm Ceramic - 12V DC (Sinus PCB) pump works virtually noiseless.
The control of the pump, the mechanics and thus the pump itself is highly efficient. The power consumption compared to other models is significantly lower with the same and higher power output. It has a wide control range and starts reliably from 7V power supply.
