Pedrera Lighting Series. In 1955, the real estate company managing Antoni Gaudí's famous residential building "Pedrera" in Barcelona planned to add additional living units in its attic. The managers approached architect Barba Corsini, who designed thirteen individual apartments (which were promptly numbered from One to Fourteen due to Spanish superstition). The commission also included the implementation of all furniture and lighting, for which Barba Corsini drew inspiration from the shape of the chimneys that Antoni Gaudí had originally placed on the building.
