The eight voices can be organized into up to four layers, allowing for flexible sound design. The Protein is not only portable but also powerful, making it ideal for live performances and studio applications. With over 100 factory presets and the capability to save up to 250 of your own presets, the synthesizer opens up a broad spectrum of sonic possibilities. The modulation matrix with eight slots per layer and the unique "Flavour" control provide vibrant and dynamic sounds that make the digital sound feel organic. Thus, the Protein is a versatile tool for creative sound experiments.

- Eight-voice polyphonic wavetable synthesizer
- Modulation matrix with eight slots per layer for personalized sound design
- Integrated arpeggiator and step sequencer
- Load-layer function for quick creation of new sound arrangements
- "Flavour" control for organic sound movements.

4. Waldorf Iridium Keyboard Synthesizer

The Iridium Keyboard Synthesizer by Waldorf is an innovative continuation of the successful Iridium Synthesizer in a compact desktop format. Equipped with a new FATAR TP/8SK keyboard, the keyboard features 49 semi-weighted keys that support polyphonic aftertouch. This allows for precise control over the sound, as each played note can be individually modulated. The expanded front panel with one-button control for each function significantly improves workflow and enables intuitive handling. Six freely programmable macro keys enhance performance control and offer a variety of creative possibilities. The powerful modulation matrix with 40 independent modulation assignments opens up additional sound design options and supports the processing of MPE data (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), further enriching the playing experience. The Iridium Keyboard Synthesizer is thus a versatile tool for musicians who value dynamic and expressive sound generation.

- 49 semi-weighted keys with polyphonic aftertouch
- Expanded front panel with one-button control for each function
- Six programmable macro keys for enhanced performance control

5. Waldorf mod1

Specifications

Three highly flexible modulation sources in one module. All modulators are based on an innovative analog circuit that allows for super-fast attacks
and very smooth curves.

1. AD3SR

ADSR envelope with up to three decay stages. Each decay stage features a time and a target level control. Configurable for one, two, or three decay stages. Loop mode for looping the attack across all decay stages. Gate and trigger inputs. Positive and inverted output.

2. Symmetry Generator

Two-segment modulator with adjustable symmetry. CV inputs for speed and symmetry. LFO mode with bipolar output. Gate and trigger envelope modes with unipolar output. Linear or square waveform.

3. Rise & Fall

Two-stage 'rise & fall' envelope. Flexible control for the rising curve shape. Optional loop mode. Gate input. Signal output.

6. Waldorf cmp1

The cmp1 from Waldorf is a highly advanced analog compressor designed for professional audio applications. With its flexible sidechain functionality, it allows for precise control of the compression behavior by basing the control signal on the adjustable balance between the side and main signals. The compressor offers both RMS and peak modes, enabling versatile adaptation to various sound sources. Threshold and compression control are managed through additional CV inputs, allowing for seamless integration into modular setups. The cmp1 features both manual and automatic modes for attack and release, providing flexible adjustment for each application. Additionally, it offers the option to blend the original signal with the compressed output, opening up further creative possibilities.

Following in the footsteps of the trendsetting Waldorf Quantum, the Iridium synthesizer features a generous high-resolution multitouch display that works in perfect harmony with the cleverly arranged control panel using tactile gesture assistance. A striking feature is the integrated 4 x 4 pad matrix, which is used to recall sequences, chords, scales and arpeggios. A closer look reveals that the Iridium synthesizer uses the same sound generation processes per oscillator (OSC 1, OSC 2 and OSC 3) as the Quantum. This allows it to comprehensively reproduce the sound spectra of the five synthesis types: Wavetable, Waveform, Particle, Resonator and Kernel. Compared to conventional wavetable synthesizers, the Iridium's wavetable capabilities go far beyond the standard. It offers up to eight simultaneously selectable waveforms per oscillator, making very dense, fat analog-sounding tones with noise and hard sync possible.
