The Waldorf STVC Synthesizer combines the sound engine of the Streichfett string synthesizer with a vocoder, capturing the classic sound world of the 70s and 80s. The device also features several innovations, such as 16-voice polyphony, an XLR microphone input, and weighted keys.

The sound of the synthesizer is a fully polyphonic string ensemble that allows you to shape sounds. Additionally, it includes several effects, such as Animate, Ensemble/Chorus, Phaser, and Reverb. The vocoder offers versatile vocal functions as well as numerous other possibilities.
