Waldorf Iridium

Following in the footsteps of the trendsetting Waldorf Quantum, the Iridium synthesizer features a generous high-resolution multitouch display that works in perfect harmony with the cleverly arranged control panel using tactile gesture assistance. A striking feature is the integrated 4 x 4 pad matrix, which is used to recall sequences, chords, scales and arpeggios. A closer look reveals that the Iridium synthesizer uses the same sound generation processes per oscillator (OSC 1, OSC 2 and OSC 3) as the Quantum. This allows it to comprehensively reproduce the sound spectra of the five synthesis types: Wavetable, Waveform, Particle, Resonator and Kernel. Compared to conventional wavetable synthesizers, the Iridium's wavetable capabilities go far beyond the standard. It offers up to eight simultaneously selectable waveforms per oscillator, making very dense, fat analog-sounding tones with noise and hard sync possible.
