The AAA Alpine Air Ambulance, specialized in rescue services in alpine regions, was founded in 2011 by the Touring Club Switzerland and the Lions Air Group AG. Its customized helicopters are used for emergency rescues, medical evacuations, the transport of medical personnel and equipment, as well as search and rescue operations. 5. Amewi AFX180
With a rotor diameter of 320mm, the AFX180 single rotor is controlled by a 3D / 6G gyro and also features an automatic "hold altitude" mode (Att. Hold). On top of that, this great entry-level helicopter features an auto-launch function that lets the model take off at the push of a button and hover independently at a safe altitude. The pilot can thus relax and concentrate on the essential control function - and no longer needs to worry about the throttle and the tail. So while the 6G system neatly balances the rear, only the pitch (forward/back) and roll (right/left) functions need to be controlled themselves. In 6G mode, the maximum deflection of the servos is also limited, which makes the system act similar to a coaxial helicopter.
When the stick on the transmitter is in the center position, the model automatically stabilizes back around the neutral axis. For faster flights or in light winds, there is also a dual rate function that frees up more servo travel. This makes the model more agile and nimble. Overall made of robust material and equipped with a large LiPo battery 2S 7.4V, 700mAh, long flight times of up to 15 minutes are possible. 9. Amewi Helicopter AFX4 R3D, 4-channel RTF
The latest evolution of our popular AF4XP helicopter. Thanks to its inherently stable flight characteristics, the AFX4 R3D is ideal for those making the switch from coaxial to single-blade helicopters. Now with a special feature: at the touch of a button, you can also perform simple 3D manoeuvres such as flips and rolls. Once the model has been raised to a safe height of around three metres – indicated on the transmitter by the flashing red status LED – 3D mode is activated on the transmitter. Simply steer briefly in the direction in which the manoeuvre is to be performed, and the model will now perform a roll or a flip on its own. Action-packed flight displays are thus child’s play even for beginners. Thanks to the integrated 6-axis gyro and the servo travel limiters, the helicopter can be controlled more precisely and enables very stable hovering. In addition, the AFX4 R3D is self-stabilising, similar to a coaxial model. The radio control features an additional button. The product requires 4 × 1.5 V AA (Mignon) batteries, which are not included in the scope of delivery.

Very beautiful scale helicopter with a 3-blade rotor head, 3D and 6G (beginner) mode. The model can be flown with constant rotor speed (pitch controlled) as well as with increasing rotor speed (similar to fixed pitch). In 6G mode, the tilt angle of the model is limited, giving it flight characteristics similar to a coaxial helicopter (self-stabilizing). When you switch the model to 3D mode, the rotor speed noticeably increases, and agility significantly improves. This allows for easier aerobatics (looping, inverted flight, etc.). The flight appearance of this fantastic model is stunning, and its design is absolutely scale. The equipment in this set is of very high quality and includes not only the model but also a top 2.4 GHz system with phase switches for all flight positions and a motor cutoff switch.
