The EC-135 of the "Flying Bulls" is from the year 2006 and bears the registration OE-XFB. The helicopter has a length of about ten meters and is powered by two Turbomeca turbines with a system output of 2 x 643 HP. Its maximum speed is approximately 290 km/h with a service ceiling of 6,100 m. The EC-135 is certified for up to six people (one pilot, five passengers). 4. Amewi AFX4 XP
A perfect helicopter for entering the world of helicopter flying. Thanks to its self-stabilizing flight characteristics, this great model is ideal for transitioning from coaxial to single-blade helicopters. The AFX4 is delivered with the standard Mode 2 (throttle on the left) configuration, so most pilots do not need to make any adjustments. At the push of a button, the model can also be switched to Mode 1. With the integrated 6-axis gyro and servo travel limits, the model is very easy to control and allows for stable hovering. Additionally, the model is self-stabilizing, similar to a coaxial model. The remote control features an extra button to return the helicopter to a stable starting position (hover mode). This beautiful, robust, and RPM-controlled single-rotor helicopter now comes with a new handy 2.4GHz transmitter set to Mode 2 (throttle on the left by default, but can be switched to Mode 1) and includes many additional functions such as Dual Rate (servo travel limitation) and Auto Start / Auto Landing.
The model can be automatically started with a button on the transmitter, ascends to a base height of about 1-1.2m, and hovers stably at that height. This allows the pilot to focus on essential flight characteristics such as forward/backward and right/left. If the model drifts slightly, this can be corrected using the digital trims on the transmitter.
Furthermore, the auto start function eliminates the ground effect of a helicopter, as it quickly ascends to its base height. The ground effect is caused by the rotors creating turbulence below the helicopter, causing it to drift forward and left when close to the ground. Therefore, controlling the model at low altitude can be challenging. Once the pilot has control of the functions on the right side of the transmitter, they can focus on climbing/descending and tail rotation, which are controlled by the left stick.
To land, simply press the start/landing button on the front right of the transmitter, and the helicopter will gently descend to the ground and shut off the motor. Even during the landing approach, the helicopter remains fully controllable, allowing the pilot to aim for the landing spot during descent. However, landing can also be performed manually – just push the throttle down and hold it until the model touches down and the motor shuts off. Manual starting and gyro calibration on the transmitter are also possible as alternatives.
