6. Amewi AFX-135 Alpine Air Ambulance

The AAA Alpine Air Ambulance, specialized in rescue services in alpine regions, was founded in 2011 by the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) and Lions Air Group AG. Their customized helicopters are used for emergency rescues, medical evacuations, the transport of medical personnel and equipment, as well as search and rescue operations. Their main purpose is to provide quick and safe medical assistance to individuals in remote or hard-to-reach areas.

The AFX-135 is a licensed scale replica with an authentic paint job. The remote-controlled AAA helicopter features numerous authentic details: even the individual rivets of the cabin, made from solid plastic, are represented. This scale helicopter is equipped with LED lighting at both the front and rear, enhancing its striking appearance. Thanks to high-quality electronics, including auto takeoff and landing, the flight behavior is gentle, and the helicopter is suitable for beginners despite its multi-blade rotor head.

The flight time is up to 12 minutes with the integrated smart battery. The special feature: the battery includes a USB charging port that connects easily to the supplied USB cable. The battery and the model have a voltage monitoring function (LED blinks when the voltage is too low), so the pilot is always informed about when it’s best to return for recharging.

The high-quality 2.4GHz transmitter fits well in the hand and features three different flight modes (from beginner to advanced), aluminum sticks, and the option to switch from Mode 2 (factory setting) to Mode 1. The remote control is also adorned with the official AAA logo. This AFX-135 is delivered as an RTF version (Ready-to-Fly).

7. Amewi AFX-PD100 4

The PD100 is a replica of a well-known search and rescue drone used by many organizations. This model impresses not only with its robust construction but also with its detailed appearance. The rotor head is supported by a precise stabilization system, providing the drone with a completely new control experience thanks to auto takeoff and auto landing. With the innovative electronics, even beginners can now fly such a model without extensive prior knowledge. The PD100 starts at the push of a button on the handy 2.4 GHz transmitter with metal sticks and automatically hovers to a certain altitude. There, the drone remains in altitude-hold mode, allowing the pilot to focus entirely on the essential functions without having to monitor the flight height simultaneously. The gyro system also controls the tail rotor, keeping the model stable in the air. For more agility in flight, three speed levels are available, appealing to both beginners and advanced users alike. Thus, the PD100 is also suitable for outdoor use in light winds and achieves high speeds in forward flight. To land, the takeoff/landing button on the transmitter can be pressed again: the model gently descends to the ground. The motor features soft start and soft cut. This means that during startup, the rotor gradually spins up, preventing the model from spinning around its own axis. The same applies during landing: the rotor gradually slows down, and the motor is automatically shut off. As an additional safety feature, the PD100 has a voltage monitoring system that continuously checks the battery during flight. When the base voltage is reached, the LED lighting starts to blink, signaling that it is time to land as soon as possible. If the pilot does not respond, the system will autonomously take over the landing to protect the battery. The PD100 is nearly ready for use right out of the box.

8. Amewi AFX180

With a rotor diameter of 320mm, the AFX180 single rotor is controlled by a 3D / 6G gyro and also features an automatic "hold altitude" mode (Att. Hold). On top of that, this great entry-level helicopter features an auto-launch function that lets the model take off at the push of a button and hover independently at a safe altitude. The pilot can thus relax and concentrate on the essential control function - and no longer needs to worry about the throttle and the tail. So while the 6G system neatly balances the rear, only the pitch (forward/back) and roll (right/left) functions need to be controlled themselves. In 6G mode, the maximum deflection of the servos is also limited, which makes the system act similar to a coaxial helicopter.

When the stick on the transmitter is in the center position, the model automatically stabilizes back around the neutral axis. For faster flights or in light winds, there is also a dual rate function that frees up more servo travel. This makes the model more agile and nimble. Overall made of robust material and equipped with a large LiPo battery 2S 7.4V, 700mAh, long flight times of up to 15 minutes are possible. Quickly recharged within 70-90 minutes via USB cable, the AFX180 single-rotor helicopter can take off again and enjoy the high altitude air to the fullest.

9. Amewi AFX4

The AFX4 is perfect for the entry into the world of helicopter flying. Thanks to its inherently stable flight characteristics, this great model is also suitable for the transition from coaxial helicopters. The AFX4 is delivered with the common mode 2 (throttle left) assignment, so that the vast majority of pilots do not need to make any further changes. Due to the integrated 6-axis gyro and the way limiting of the servos, the model can be controlled very well and allows a very stable hovering flight. In addition, the model is self-stabilizing. The radio remote control has an additional button to bring the heli back to a stable starting position (hover mode). The pitch and roll movements (forward / backward, right / left) are regulated by the manufacturer in such a way that they do not pose any major difficulties for a novice pilot. Should a little more power be required, e.g. outdoors in stronger winds, a dual rate switch on the transmitter provides more servo travel to assist. With a little practice very smooth and fast to move, this helicopter is wonderful as a training model for smaller spaces or halls. The flight time varies depending on the environment between 4 - 6 minutes.

10. Amewi AFX4 XP

A perfect helicopter for entering the world of helicopter flying. Thanks to its self-stabilizing flight characteristics, this great model is ideal for transitioning from coaxial to single-blade helicopters. The AFX4 is delivered with the standard Mode 2 (throttle on the left), so most pilots won't need to make any adjustments. With the push of a button, the model can also be switched to Mode 1. The integrated 6-axis gyro and the servo travel limits allow for excellent control of the model, enabling stable hovering. Additionally, the model is self-stabilizing, similar to a coaxial model. The remote control features an extra button to return the helicopter to a stable starting position (hover mode). The pitch and roll movements (forward/backward, right/left) are regulated to ensure that beginner pilots do not face significant challenges. If more power is needed, for example, outdoors in stronger winds, a dual-rate switch on the transmitter provides additional servo travel for support. With a bit of practice, the helicopter can be maneuvered very smoothly and quickly, making it an excellent training model for smaller spaces or halls.
