1. Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art

Compared to the predecessor model Sigma 24-70mm F2. 8 DG DN - Art, the Sigma 24-70mm F2. 8 DG DN II - Art has an improved resolving power over the entire zoom range. It also benefits from functional improvements such as the added aperture ring and the high-speed autofocus with the HLA drive (High-Response Linear Actuator). The Sigma 24-70mm F2. 8 DG DN II - Art is approx. 7% smaller and 10% lighter than its predecessor. The ease of use has been improved with an aperture ring and two AFL buttons. Despite the more compact design and the improved features, the lens offers high processing quality. With an uncompromisingly precise and robust construction, as you would expect from a professional photographic tool.

While the number of lens elements used has remained the same compared to the previous model, the overall length has been reduced thanks to the modern optical design. In addition, the more efficient mechanical design has resulted in a lens with a maximum diameter of 87.8 mm, a length of 120.2 mm and a weight of 745g (L-mount version). The robust internal structure and the use of high-precision metal parts ensure high stability and durability in professional use. Many demanding users appreciate the ability to set the aperture directly on the aperture ring of the lens.

Those who prefer to set the aperture on the camera body can use the aperture ring's lock function and are protected against accidental adjustment. The optical design of the lens comprises 6 FLD and 2 SLD glass elements. In addition, 5 aspherical lens elements are used. Aberrations are thus reliably suppressed over the entire zoom range. Sagittal coma flares in particular are well controlled in order to achieve a consistently high resolution right up to the periphery of the image. The effective correction of lateral chromatic aberration means that high-resolution images free of colour fringing can be achieved.

3. Sigma 28-70 mm f/2.8 DG DN, Sony-E

The Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary redefines the standard zoom lens for mirrorless cameras: it combines outstanding optical performance and a constant aperture of f/2.8 with a lightweight and compact design.

In terms of design, the 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary is based on the 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art, but with a focal length range starting at 28mm. This results in a significantly smaller and lighter lens body while maintaining the same excellent optical performance.

The slightly reduced wide-angle range of the 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary compared to the 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art allows for a notable reduction in the size of the 28-70mm body. The concept of the Contemporary product line harmonizes performance and usability.

The lens features a single, lightweight focusing element, enabling a compact autofocus unit. Combined with a quiet and fast stepping motor, this ensures responsive and nearly silent autofocus performance.

The 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary weighs only 470g, and when paired with the Sigma fp, it totals just 890g. Such an exceptionally lightweight camera system, weighing less than 1kg, provides photographers with a tremendous degree of freedom and flexibility to realize their creative visions. It is also an ideal choice for filmmakers seeking a powerful, lightweight, and easy-to-handle camera system that works well with a gimbal and other accessories.

7. Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary, Fujifilm X

The Sigma 10-18 mm F2.8 DC DN is a bright ultra-wide-angle zoom lens designed for mirrorless APS-C cameras. It offers an effective focal length of 15 to 27 mm (equivalent to 35 mm) and allows for expressive images, whether you are photographing landscapes, architecture, interiors, or portraits. The lens is characterized by high optical quality, achieved through the use of aspherical lenses and special low-dispersion glass elements. It features a fast AF stepping motor and a developed, detachable lens hood that reduces stray light. The lens is available for L-Mount, Sony E-Mount, and Fujifilm X-Mount.

The wide-angle lens is distinguished by an expanded field of view that surpasses that of the human eye. It differs from standard lenses due to its shorter focal length. This shorter focal length increases the field of view, making subjects appear smaller and allowing more to be captured in the photo. Additionally, the wide-angle lens creates a well-defined effect of spatial depth—objects in the distance appear even further away, giving your images a striking sense of depth.

9. Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN C, Sony E

The light-sensitive standard lens Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary allows users of mirrorless cameras to enjoy photography with a maximum aperture of F1.4. Particularly appealing is the beautiful bokeh that can only be achieved with a fast lens, along with the exceptionally precise optical performance that characterizes a top-class prime lens. The latest technologies and design considerations, characteristic of the Contemporary product line concept, are well balanced in this new lens. A prime lens that offers a focal length similar to that of the human eye at approximately 50mm and an aperture of F1.4. The shallow depth of field at wide open aperture provides photographers with ideal conditions for captivating portraits and still lifes. For landscape shots or snapshots, a smaller aperture with greater depth of field can be chosen. Standard lenses offer a wide range of photographic applications and have been a staple for photographers for decades. This standard lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 60mm on the Micro Four Thirds system and 45mm on the Sony E-Mount system. Sigma lenses labeled "DC" deliver optimal performance on cameras with APS-C image sensors. Using a DC lens on a full-frame camera inevitably leads to vignetting. For optimal results, the active image area of the sensor should be matched to the image circle of the lens. Sigma lenses labeled "DN" offer optimal performance in conjunction with cameras that have a short flange distance.

10. Sigma 16-28mm F2,8 DG DN | Contemporary (Sony-E)

Thanks to its excellently corrected field curvature, the 2.8/16-28mm lens delivers sharp images all the way to the corners, which is crucial for many applications in the wide-angle range. Five FLD lenses and four aspherical elements ensure optimal image quality with minimal distortion. An internal zoom mechanism keeps the length of the lens consistent across the entire focal length range, ensuring it remains well-balanced in hand. The minimal shift in the center of gravity during zooming is also an advantage for mounting on a gimbal.
