5. Formfutura EasyFix adhesive - No. IV for PC
EasyFix No. IV is an all-purpose building board adhesive specially developed for employees working with polycarbonate-based filaments.
EasyFix adhesives are designed to bond firmly to a heated build plate, ensuring that an object adheres securely. Additionally, it has excellent release properties when the build plate is cold, making it easy to remove a printed object while minimizing the risk of damage to both the build plate and the printed object.
How to use EasyFix 3D printing adhesives:
There is an EasyFix adhesive solution for 3D printing with almost all types of 3D printer filaments. Shake the bottle of EasyFix well before use. Ensure that the build plate of your 3D printer is clean and at room temperature before applying EasyFix to the print bed. Press the applicator sponge onto the build plate so that the EasyFix adhesive saturates the sponge. Allow the adhesive to gradually saturate the sponge. Never squeeze the bottle!
Once the applicator sponge is saturated, apply the EasyFix adhesive evenly to the printable surface of the build plate. Make sure that the Z-height of your 3D printer is correct before starting the print. The EasyFix adhesive will adhere firmly when the build plate is heated.
Wait until the print platform has cooled down to room temperature before removing your 3D printed object. EasyFix 3D printing adhesives have excellent release properties, allowing your printed object to detach from the platform as it cools. If it is still difficult to remove, apply a small amount of warm water to the printed object and the print surface. Allow the water to seep under the printed object before slowly removing it.
A build platform prepared with EasyFix adhesive can be used for multiple 3D prints.
