Does what it should

Ideal camera for travelling where you want to take good photos but don't want to carry kilos around your neck.
30x zoom is exceptional for a camera of this size. I often use the zoom in combination with the transmitted light viewfinder as a substitute for binoculars/telescope.
Actually only three weak points:
1. the otherwise extremely practical transmitted-light viewfinder (you can also switch the camera on and off with it) is a faulty design. It is not enough to simply fold it out. You have to pull it out with two fingers, otherwise the picture is completely out of focus. This makes unplanned snapshots impossible. It's the same when you fold it in. There, too, it must first be pushed in again with two fingers. This is no longer time-critical, but there is a risk of dirtying the viewfinder. Nevertheless, I have always used the transmitted-light viewfinder for snapshots, because the camera can be switched on more quickly than with the normal on/off switch. I didn't pull it out, but used the screen as normal. 2.
It happened several times that nothing happened when I pressed the shutter button. You have to give the camera time to focus. But if the focus is set correctly and the photo is still out of focus after the delayed shutter release, this is more than annoying.
3. battery performance insufficient and replacement battery from Sony far too expensive. Fortunately there are alternatives. more
