The phone was delivered with Chinese language, thus 1h on the phone with Digitec support. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened, why doesn't Digitec check this? Why is Samsung not able to deliver a 1000CHF mobile phone correctly?
Even after setting the language to German, Chinese characters appear in various places. This means that the Samsung interface is miserably programmed.
Contacts can *not* be sorted by last name. It's hard to believe that something like this is still possible today. But in the Note 8 Dual Sim, several users on the internet report that there is no way to sort them in the contact settings. For a luxury phone with a price tag of CHF 1000, this is completely unacceptable.
Obviously Samsung just throws the phones on the market (see battery problems a year ago), they don't test them and they don't think about the programming either.
Chat support in Germany could not help and referred me to Switzerland. I made an enquiry there, but no answer for 5 days.
Samsung used to be a good company, but the same deterioration can be seen in the printers.
Therefore: This was the last Samsung mobile phone
