Buy recommendation ;-)

I was able to test the Switch on 11.02.2017 in Zurich Oerlikon. I myself am a long-time Zelda fan and am of course particularly looking forward to this new title, but of course I also tested other games, such as Arms, Bomberman, Just Dance, Mario Kart etc.

Switch as a whole: I think the Switch is very well made and there is a lot of potential in the console. The graphics on the screen look, for my taste, very good for the price you pay. The movements (especially in the Zelda test) are also very fluid without noticeable jerks. However, I think the potential needs to be better exploited with more game content. The change from using the mobile part to the display on the TV and vice versa is very fast.

Mobile part: I find the display size of the mobile part perfectly chosen. It fits well in the hand, is not too heavy and is still big enough to see everything in the game. Thanks to the detachable Joy-Con, two people can play together on one device without any problems, which is handy when playing Mariokart, for example, so that you can have a little race with your colleagues without having to carry extra equipment. The 1-2 Switch is also a fun in-between or party game that makes for a fun change of pace.

Controller: The Joy-Cons are extremely precise, which has amazed and delighted me several times in various games. This is very noticeable in Arms, for example, where the shots are fast and precise on the screen. The only problem with the Joy-Cons is their size (when playing with two people without an additional controller), which could lead to hand cramps or finger knots for players with large hands.

With Bombermann, I noticed longer loading times, but this is probably more due to the game than the Switch, as I hadn't noticed anything in this regard with the other games.

I'm quite curious about the whole concept. But I think Nintendo will have another huge hit. Only the games still have to come.

It can't flop like the Wii U did. I didn't buy the Wii U, but I pre-ordered the Switch. I'm sure I'm not the only one who did that.

@Darkkatara. Don't quite understand you. Why would you buy something that you are convinced is not worth it? Resolution alone is not everything, fun and replay value should not be forgotten. I still hope that you will somehow find some joy in it.

It won't flop, at least not for me. I don't need a Full HD resolution, but rather a console that finally brings something new. That's exactly what Nintendo is doing and that's what sets it apart from the market. The other manufacturers, on the other hand, always ride around on the same worn-out titles.

And simply package this in a new, better resolution, although they are not new ideas. I hope they will take a leaf out of their book.

I recently played through Super Mario Galaxy 2 again on the Wii. If they can put the same magic in the Switch titles, they don't need 4K or HDR. But maybe I'm not objective, I'm even happy with the Wii U, even though I only have ten games for it.

Man, you're all just lame crybabies. 1. the Switch does reach 1080P in the dock. 2. even though the Wii U didn't seem to do so well, it will be different with the Switch. If only because it's more mobile and fun. I'm sick of the constant drivel about graphics.

When you understand what gaming actually means, graphics become secondary. Even with the PS4, there weren't that many games available at the beginning. At least not most of the ones you would have liked. At least it outshines the PS Vita and other mobile devices by a long way.

oh yes, and the docking is very much 1080P. Maybe you need to turn off automatic selection. Then there's the fact that the game must also support 1080P. Let me remind you of the problems at the beginning of Xbox and Playstation. EVERY console had something or several at the beginning.
