Kind of a strange keyboard...

F*ck! This thing *IS* a Rubberdome Keyboard, NOT mechanical! Mechanical my ass!!! Once again no one at Digitec has checked what's really behind it... like with so many keyboards here that are called "mechanical"! >:((

In principle, everything is in the "+" & "-".
A somewhat strange "mechanical" keyboard... but at the price nothing beaten up. ^^;
Pro
- Quite stable construction despite a lot of plastic
- Braided thin USB cable
- Price
- Finally CAPS-Lock, Num-Lock, Win-Lock LEDs that you can see ;)
Contra
- ## RUBBERDOME TECHNOLOGY! *NO* MECHANICAL KEYBOARD! ##
- Fixed LED brightness level (no gradations)
- Due to the naked design, the surrounding area shines brighter than the keys themselves (glare).
- Illumination LEDs have quite wide spacing (uneven illumination)
- Instruction leaflet for LED key combos must be read with a magnifying glass
- The keystroke is... indeterminate (somehow a mixture of Tactil & Linear)
- Is supposedly a mechanical keyboard, but feels like Rubberdome
- Keys & their mechanics completely made of plastic
- Relatively little information about the keyboard itself on the Snakebyte homepage
- USB cable is very stiff despite its thinness
- LED lighting cannot be dimmed or switched off
- LEDs remain lit even after switching off the PC, must be plugged in/out.
Even the manufacturer says it's a rubber dome. Maybe do some research first. You can't get more for that price. The part even costs only 15 CHF. I don't understand your blatant objections. If you want something decent, you just have to go beyond the 50CHF brand.
@orkan: Colleague! The criticism went directly to Digitec: "Once again, nobody at Digitec has checked what's really behind it... as with so many keyboards here that are labelled as "mechanical"!" The keyboard cost a lot more back then (4 years ago!), and I don't have time to do additional research on every Digitec product, so you should be able to rely on the supplier. But as mentioned, this is not the first product here that has been categorised incorrectly...
