The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ (2248 x 1080) Super AMOLED display, along with 6 GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, depending on the variant you choose. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor and is equipped with a 3400 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. On the back of the Mi 8, there are two powerful 12-megapixel cameras, while a 20-megapixel front camera is located on the front of the flagship. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Mi 8, over which Xiaomi has added its own MIUI 9.5 user interface.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is made of metal and glass. Above its 6.21-inch display, there is a notch. This notch is there for good reason: the Mi 8 is equipped with an infrared face unlock feature—an advanced facial scanner reminiscent of the implementation in the iPhone X. Additionally, the Mi 8 has a dual-camera setup on the back and a standard capacitive fingerprint scanner, which is also located on the back.
