Warm Audio WA-87 R2

Warm Audio introduced the predecessor model WA-87 in 2016, making the coveted vintage sound of the original accessible to everyone. Now, the Texas-based manufacturer has continuously updated the model based on gathered experiences to exceed expectations once again. The WA-87 R2 (Revision 2) features a discrete circuit design with high-quality components such as new old Fairchild transistors, WIMA and Nichicon capacitors, and is complemented by an improved CineMag USA output transformer. The capsule is a proprietary development based on the classic dual-diaphragm capsule with a gold-sputtered 6 µm NOS Mylar diaphragm. Thanks to its authentic vintage warmth and a smooth, detailed high-frequency range, the WA-87 R2 comes even closer to the beloved sound and flair of the original classic from the swinging sixties.
