Product details
A classic with excellent imaging performance. This lens telephoto lens is quite handy and lightweight despite its length of approximately 300 mm. The design, which uses only 5 lenses in 4 groups, allows for outstanding, color-accurate, and sharp images without disturbing field curvature. The relative aperture of 1:8.0 enables outdoor use, even in wildlife photography or detail photography in landscapes.
The preset aperture allows you to set the desired aperture in advance. This can then be adjusted from the largest opening to the preset value with a quick turn of the finger. The advantage: maximum viewfinder brightness when focusing and lightning-fast selection of the preset aperture for photography and filming.
The attached 360° rotatable tripod mount allows for balanced attachment to a tripod and switching between portrait and landscape orientation.
On most cameras, the lens operates in aperture priority or manual mode. For more details, refer to your camera's user manual.
T2 connection, operating tip: The T2 adapter is screwed onto the lens, and then the lens is locked in place. The side screws on the T2 adapter allow for "uprighting" the lens after loosening – aligning the index for infinity or the depth of field marks upwards. Retightening the screws securely fastens the lens and adapter.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor: Save time in post-processing. Many lens errors such as distortion, edge softness, or vignetting occur in the outer areas of the image. Using a lens designed for full-frame on a camera with an APS-C sensor means these areas are not utilized. Thus, you achieve maximum quality. Additional post-processing time for correcting lens errors is eliminated.
