Product details

Fieldbus Coupler CANopen D-Sub Extreme

This fieldbus coupler connects the WAGO I/O system as a slave to the CANopen fieldbus. Data is transmitted using PDOs and SDOs. The bus coupler detects all connected I/O terminals and creates a local process image from them. This can involve a mixed arrangement of analog (word-wise data exchange) and digital (byte-wise data exchange) terminals.

The local process image is divided into an input and output data area. Process data can be read via the CANopen bus and further processed in a controller. Process output data is transmitted over the CANopen bus.

The data from the analog terminals is mapped to the PDOs in the order of their position after the bus coupler. The bits from the digital terminals are combined into bytes and also mapped into PDOs. If the number of digital I/O exceeds 8 bits, the coupler automatically starts a new byte.

Entries in the object directory can be mapped to the 32 Rx PDOs and 32 Tx PDOs as needed. The entire input and output data area can be transmitted using SDOs. Placeholders for terminals can be set via software.

The device is suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions: extended temperature range, higher voltage resistance, and EMC stability, as well as increased vibration and shock resistance.
