Product details

Incremental Encoder Interface; RS-422; 32 Bit

The bus terminal provides an interface for various incremental encoders with different connections.

A counter with a quadrature decoder and a latch for the zero pulse can be read and activated by the control system. The control system can set the counter. Depending on the operating mode, the counter value is transferred to the latch register and the counter is initialized on the positive edge at the input "C" or "Latch".

The speed (increments/ms) is automatically detected and can alternatively be transmitted to the control system instead of the latch value.

The "Gate" input allows for the counter to be locked. The "Ref" input can be used to activate the function of the zero mark "C".

Through the cam outputs (N1, N2), the bus terminal signals whether the counter value is within defined windows. The window areas can be individually adjusted.

The bus terminals require a supply voltage of DC 24 V, from which the power supply for the sensor (Ue, U0) is also derived.

The shield connection is directly routed to the mounting rail.
