Votronic 2071 Switch Unit 40 12V / 24V battery main switch

The Votronic Switch Unit 40 serves as the main on/off switch for your 12/24 Volt onboard electrical system and can be operated with its own switch.

The Votronic Switch Unit 40 operates based on a bistable power relay. Its own power consumption is extremely low. It is particularly suitable as a remote-controlled main switch or as a load relay that should remain switched on for long periods. The current carrying capacity is 40 A.

The Switch Unit 40 can be remotely controlled by a simple switch (1-pole on/off). The switch is only lightly loaded (0.002 A), so even a miniature version is sufficient.

Additionally, a manual override function (emergency switch) allows consumers to be turned on or off manually at the relay.

When the switch is "off," all electronics are completely shut down; the already very low power consumption of the Switch Unit 40 is then eliminated entirely.
