Suitable for solar modules with up to 350 Wp module power, a maximum of 21 A module current, and a maximum of 50 V module voltage. Charging options: 1 supply battery and 1 starter battery. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" (Maximum Power Point) series with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics are connected as a link between the solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. It transforms the voltage surplus of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery, realized through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency. This increase in charging current results in shorter charging times and the best possible performance utilization of the solar system. MPP solar controllers operate fully automatically, are maintenance-free, and offer the following features: MPP charging current increase compared to conventional controllers through the use of state-of-the-art controller technology (microprocessor) by 10% to 30% (efficiency over 95%). The performance boost is particularly noticeable in cooler seasons and, for example, in high fog conditions, lower and diffuse lighting (wintering).
