MPP solar controller specifically designed for use on boats, yachts, etc. The electronics of the MPPT dual charger are protected against moisture. Suitable for solar modules with: up to 350 Wp module power, max. 21 A module current, max. 50 V module voltage. Charging options: 1 supply battery and 1 starter battery. Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" series (Maximum Power Point) with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between the solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules multiple times per second. It then transforms the voltage surplus of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery, realized through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency. This increase in charging current results in shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's performance. MPP solar controllers operate fully automatically, are maintenance-free, and offer the following features: MPP charging current increase compared to conventional controllers through the use of state-of-the-art controller technology (microprocessor) by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%). The performance boost is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and, for example, in high fog conditions, lower and diffuse lighting (wintering). Switchable charging characteristics for optimal charging of gel/dryfit, AGM/fleece, acid/wet, or LiFePO4 batteries. The charging voltage is freely adjustable.
