Voltcraft AC/DC TrueRMS current clamp

The ultra-compact entry-level clamp meter combines ergonomic technology with a very good price-performance ratio. The clamp meter allows for non-contact current measurement as well as the usual multimeter functions. With the clamp sensor, it is no longer necessary to disconnect the circuit for measurement. The VC-330 is also ideal for measurements in automotive or solar applications, as it features a direct current measurement function.

Robust and handy, the measuring device is built to withstand tough conditions thanks to its two-component housing with integrated soft rubber protection. The rubberized housing shell also makes the meter very easy to grip.

The clamp meter enables non-contact measurement of both direct and alternating current. The advantage of this measurement method is the clamp function, which allows for current measurements to be performed without the usual shutdown and disconnection of the circuit. This effectively avoids system downtime.

The True RMS measurement allows for accurate measurement of asymmetrical voltages and currents that deviate from the basic sine wave form. Asymmetrical voltages often occur in power controllers such as dimmers, speed controllers, pulsed switch regulators, pulsed chargers, or electronic speed controllers in model building. Conventional average-value meters can show significant measurement deviations in such specialized measurement tasks.

As part of quality assurance, all Voltcraft measuring devices undergo calibration to factory standards during production. This ensures high quality and compliance with tolerance limits, as specified in the technical data of the user manual. A certificate is not issued in this process.
