Unlike traditional wireless networking technologies that are disrupted by signal reflections, the MIMO (Multi-Input, Multi-Output) of 802.11n utilizes these reflections to increase the range of 802.11g by up to four times and reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area. It complies with the IEEE 802.11g/IEEE 802.11b standard, but when both ends of the wireless connection are Wireless-N, the speed can be increased by up to three times the 802.11g standard by using double the radio bandwidth.
