All Victron Smart Lithium Batteries require an external BMS. Without a BMS, there is no warranty coverage.

The BMS controls the charging (ATC) and discharging (ATD) based on the battery information. This control varies depending on the BMS but requires additional wiring for both charging and discharging in all cases. Below you will find links to select the right BMS as well as the BMS models.

The following BMS options are available:

• VE.Bus BMS and VE.Bus BMS V2 - recommended for systems with our MultiPlus inverters/chargers.
• smallBMS - recommended for use in small systems.
• Battery Management System BMS 12/200 - recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
• Smart BMS CL 12/100 - recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
• Lynx Smart BMS - recommended for larger systems and loads in combination with Lynx Distributor and Battery IN products.
