The Varta LCD Universal Charger is capable of charging AA/AAA/C/D and 9V NiMH batteries. Its extensive safety features and large LCD display for showing the charging status make the LCD Universal Charger your reliable all-rounder. It allows for the simultaneous charging of various combinations regarding the number, charge status, capacities, and sizes of the batteries. A shutdown procedure utilizes the fact that the voltage (Delta U) slightly decreases when the batteries are fully charged. A safety timer turns off the charger after a certain period, regardless of the charging status. Mobile devices can be charged via USB cable through the charger’s USB ports. Defective cells are not charged, thus preventing damage to the charger. It detects faulty, unsuitable, or incorrectly inserted battery types and provides protection against incorrectly inserted cells. The charging time is 4 hours.
