Suitable for the transmission of films with digital cinema technology, with resolutions of up to 3840x2160 at 30Hz. It extends existing HDMI high-speed cables and is open for future 3D video systems. The Audio Return Channel allows a TV connected via HDMI with a built-in tuner to send audio data upstream to a surround system, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable.
